MLK Celebration – January 13th
Rainbow Ranch will be having our Annual MLK pot-luck dinner on
January 13th. Everyone come hungry and we will make sure you get your fill. The
Ranch will provide the main dish. Just bring your favorite side dish and join in
the festivities.
GAYmes Day / Karaoke – January 27th
Come and enjoy all of the great activities including the pool
table, air hockey, and electronic dart board all inside our nice warm PAVILION!
What a better time than in the middle of winter to have a game day? Followed
that evening with a fun night of singing Karaoke hosted by the one and only Dee
Dee Heart. So bring your friends and dazzle them with your talent or just plain
luck!
Valentine's Party – February 10th
Rainbow Ranch is the perfect place to get away with that special
someone. To celebrate Valentines the ranch will have a dessert party Saturday
evening.
Work Weekend / Steak Out – February 24th
Come work for the Ranch a few hours and camp for the entire
weekend for free! Plus, get a certificate for another free night’s stay to use
later in the year. On Saturday night, we will also have our Annual "Steak Out"
where all of the workers from the day will be treated to a free steak dinner.
Survivor Challenge – March 3rd
Games and events for all ages. The Survivor Challenge is always a
great time. Don’t worry, you can not be voted off the team when participating in
these kooky and original games. Everyone plays to the finish, but there will be
only one winner!
Saint Patrick's Day Celebration / Band – Laurel –
March 17th
The luck of the Irish will be shining on the Ranch for this
year’s St. Patrick’s Day festivities. We will have our annual pot-luck dinner
and celebrate the night away with fun games, beer (keg provided by Rainbow
Ranch), and camaraderie through out the evening. Come enjoy a night of live
music provided my Laurel as she makes her Rainbow Ranch debut.
Toga Party – March 31st
Grab your old or new sheets, be sure to cover you goods, and come
join us at Rainbow Ranch’s first Toga Party.
Easter Bonnet / Pooch Parade – April 7th
Come out and show everyone your favorite best bonnet of the year.
It's always fun to see what everyone comes up with each year. To continue with
the new tradition set from last year, we will be including mobile entries to the
parade where everyone is welcome to decorate their favorite ranch buggy as well.
A prize will be awarded to the winner.
Trailer / Tent Trash Disco – April 21st
Decorate your RV / Tent site for our contest then attend a Trash
Disco dance in the pavilion Saturday night. Come check out all of the lights and
the great music and dance the night away.
Cinco De Mayo / Kentucky Derby – May 5th
Join the fun at Rainbow Ranch to celebrate Cinco de Mayo at our
Mexican Fiesta. Decorate your campsite Mexican style and be sure to bring your
sombrero. If you don't have a sombrero then wear your best Kentucky Derby hat as
we will be celebrating both events this weekend. Make your favorite Spanish dish
and bring it to the pot-luck at the Mexican Fiesta site. We will have our
traditional piñata full of goodies hanging for the party goers to crack open.
There are prizes inside for kids of ALL ages.
Bear Round-Up – May 12th
Come join us at Rainbow Ranch as we have our first Bear Round-Up
at the ranch. Grab your friends and come join us for BBQ followed by a night of
dancing in the pavilion.
Memorial Day Drag Show – May 26th
Come join in the fun at this year’s 9th Annual Memorial Day Drag
Show. We are pleased to welcome back as this year’s MC’s our very own Mistresses
of Ceremonies Shay Champagne & Kimberly O’Neal. Returning to man the sound booth
is DJ Danny from DIVA+SIZES. The show is always a spectacular event and
certainly one of the more popular events. If you would like to be a part of the
show, please be sure to bring everything you will need (outfit, hair, CD or Tape
music, and any special props).
First Annual Volleyball Tournament – June 9th
Build your own team and come down and compete, or come on down
and join one of the teams we will build on this our first annual Volleyball
Tournament.
4th of July Band and Fireworks – June 30th
Join us at Rainbow Ranch on Saturday and enjoy a fun filled
patriotic weekend. The ranch will have a live band (Smoking Hair Day) and a
professionally designed fireworks show for all of our campers to enjoy. We will
also have a BBQ pot luck on Sunday.
Shrimp Boil & Pot Luck – July 14th
Rainbow Ranch will be having our Annual Shrimp Boil event on July
14th. The Ranch will provide all of the shrimp, corn, and potatoes. Just bring
your favorite side dish and join in the festivities.
Pool Party – July 28th
Where else would you rather be in the heat of summer than
lounging in the cool and relaxing pool at Rainbow Ranch? Bring your friends and
come enjoy your weekend around the pool, fishing in the lake, or just enjoy old
friends and make new ones. The ranch will be providing hamburgers and
hotdogs for all campers.
Hawaiian Luau and Pot-Luck – August 11th
Dress in Hawaiian attire, wear your grass skirts / sarong, floral
shirts, and come hungry! We will be having a Hawaiian pot-luck, so bring your
favorite Hawaiian dish (or any dish you like) and join in the festivities.
The pavilion will be a festive place with some great music and a great light
show.
Fall Womyn's Festival – August 25th
Join us at the ranch for our 2nd Fall Womyn's Festival dedicated
to the womyn of our ranch family. All are welcome and we hope you will consider
coming to this event. The pool will be open and ready for everyone to
relax and cool down during the day. The band will be providing some great tunes
for us starting at 8:00pm Saturday night.
Labor Day Show and BBQ – September 1st
Back by popular demand are "They're Not Right" featuring the one
and only duo of Mama and Twyla Starlett. If you haven’t seen these “girls”
perform, you are really missing a great show! For those of you not familiar with
this hilariously funny comedy duo, they could be compared to the more famous
shows of Greater Tuna. Sunday the ranch will provide a Bar-B-Q dinner for
the campers and a night of celebration in the pavilion. This is one of the
most popular weekends at the Ranch.
Karaoke w/ Dee Dee Heart – September 15th
Saturday evening we will have a night of fun, singing Karaoke
hosted by the one and only Dee Dee Heart.
Oktoberfest – September 29th
The Ranch will be celebrating Oktoberfest in true German style.
We will have the place decked out in Bavarian style with plenty of your favorite
Oktoberfest food and songs. This is a pot-luck event so bring a tasty dish and
be prepared to do the Chicken Dance! Camping does not get much better than
in Central Texas during October with warm days and cool nights.
Country Ho Down – October 13th
Join us at the ranch for the last Bar-B-Que of the season. The
weather should be perfect for a country and western dance inside the pavilion.
So pack your dancin’ boots and bring a dish to share.
Halloween Contest and Band – October 27th
Join us at Rainbow Ranch as we celebrate Halloween all weekend
long! Decorate your campsite and win a prize. The ranch will be having a
Halloween party on Saturday evening. Bring your favorite dish and beverage
to the party site and enjoy the music and fun. We will have a costume contest
with prizes for two lucky winners.
Chili Cook Off / Hay Ride - November 10th
Join in the fun at Rainbow Ranch for the Annual Chili Cook-off.
If you think you have the award winning recipe for chili, you should consider
participating in the competition. A prize will be awarded for the best
recipe as determined by the panel of judges. As with all contests at the
ranch, the judging panel will be comprised of a random selection of campers
present on the day of the competition.
Thanksgiving – November 22nd and 24th
Are you new to town? Do you want to avoid the relatives over the
Holidays? Or would you simply rather spend the Thanksgiving holiday with your
Rainbow Ranch family? Whatever your reason, there is a place at the table for
you. Thanksgiving dinner will be served on both Thanksgiving Day and on
Saturday following Thanksgiving. Thursday's bird(s) will be baked and Saturday's
bird(s) will be deep fried. Prepare your favorite Thanksgiving side dish and
join us as we give thanks for all of our many blessings.
Movie Festival – December 8th
Join us in our 3rd Annual Movie Festival here at the Ranch. The
Ranch will be having pizza brought in for all of the campers so grab a cocktail
and join us.
Holiday Celebration – December 22nd
Join Rainbow Ranch for our Annual White Elephant Gift Exchange at the
Ranch. This year's exchange will take place on Saturday, December 23rd.
This is always a great event at Rainbow Ranch! After dinner will be our
Annual White Elephant Gift Exchange. If you would like to participate,
bring a small gift ($30.00 maximum) and join in the fun of wondering which
wonderful gift you will take home.
New Years – December 29th
Rainbow Ranch
campers know how to have a good time and we know how to do it up right! This New Year's celebration
promises to be the best yet! Join Rainbow Ranch for a professionally designed
fireworks show. There will be a HUGE bonfire (weather permitting) to keep you
warm. There’s no need for anyone to worry about drinking and driving,
overcrowded bars, expensive hotel parties or boring house parties when you have
the Ranch as an alternative. Be sure to bring your cabbage and black-eyed peas for good luck
in 2007. This event books quickly! There will be
complimentary champagne for the toast on New Year's Eve.
